Finished! My very own table mirror... I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so - I made it! DIY!!

Cupcake display

Here is a cupcake display I made for my friend's wedding reception. Should hold 150... cross your fingers :) and i made little figures of each of the, and Lola... cant forget her

Hubby's Projects

Not only is Hubby a designer, craftsmen, furniture builder, gardener, deck builder, cat loven man (yes, hi Valentine, you got in the picture), he also takes out the trash and helps with the dishes and cooking! on top of it all he does ceramics too - here is his Bride Skull Vase.... the little gnome - I made for him... both pieces need to be fired still...

Projects

Here are some ceramic mugs and pots I made over this long weekend. I have a set of bird stamps that I used to stamp the clay. The weather was great - the clay dried fast and they will be ready for the kiln on Saturday!

Re-Did Office Space

Couldn't take the clutter! (See previous blog entry of office space.) Here is my new and improved work area! Thanks to B who made my ladder shelve! and my two fabulous finds! Everything has it's place. The mirror was not that easy to get up, but it's on the wall now! That was a great Picture Frame find, bought from IKEA and I took it to a local glass and mirror shop! Done!

So I saw a necklace on Etsy and it was $50.... but I thought... maybe I can make it myself... and I did for about $18!! love it!

For KW

This was made for KW in memory of her dad. I took a trip to the beloved LB Antique Market. And with the support of SJM I was able to purchase some of the lovely objects in this treasure box. The clock, the cool wrench, the oil cans, other items I had collected from a pervious trip. There is a great map of NY with a pin of Elmira, where DHW was born.

Love love love SJM table mirror and could not find it anywhere!! So i went to Michael's but a 4" round mirror for 99cents! and made my own table top mirror out of ceramics! it will get getting fired and glazed!

Painting

KW wanted me to paint something for her friends BDAY. Here is the finished piece!

Projects

I made a gnob for B's garden. see him there holding a basket! too cute. And i made 2 trays. These pieces still need to be fired and glazed.

Little Chairs

I love these little chairs! This was a great find. We have four little chairs and my dolly sits on one of them. Isn't she cute?

Book

I stitched a book together on the ol' sewing machine... works better than glue, so the paper doesn't pucker... the last page has an envelope with my contact info on paint chips! Love finding FREE supplies!!

Another Layer

I stenciled some roses, and got a stripe of lace - used spray mount and suck it to the canvas and spray painted!

Saved Bust

I saved this bust from the landfills! well - someone at work was going to throw it out and my cubemate wanted to keep it. I took it home and made it a little more interesting! I love to stencil and spray paint!

For Kelly

KW asked me to do a painting for her friend Kelly - Here is the start... i dripped paint on the canvas. There are several layers of that - today I laid down a stencil, spray painted it, then did a light wash of black paint. Tomorrow I will work on it some more!

Hoarder

JA asked me if I collect and hoard... so I wanted to show where I create my pieces... here is my desk, I do collect and hoard, but in an organized fashion ;) love to label... every month I clean out to make room for "new" (to me) stuff!

Hub-B's an artist too!

Yes - I married an artist too! He made me this. Leather is the theme for the traditional 3rd Wedding Anniversary. B used a cigar box, pasted pictures of us, white washed it, cut out the number 3, the birds and heart are made out of leather. Amazing!
